1P4 Metal design project
1P4 were the first ever class to use the metal workshop in our shiny new department. The pupils completed the making part of their metal product design project using some of the brand new equipment. The next step is to evaluate the project. Here are some questions to consider:
What sections of the design folio did you do well?
What sections do you think you could improve?
What parts of the making did you enjoy?
What practical work do you think you could improve?
Did your design work out as you imagined?
If you were do doing the project again what would you change or improve?

Lauren Taylor 1p4- Metal hook project.
When I was making this hook I enjoyed cross filing it to shape it.
In the design portfolio I think that I completed the design ideas well.
I think that in the design follio I could improve my annotations to my design ideas.
I think that in the pratical work I could improvemy cutting, when I was cutting my hook I couldn’t cut straight and I managed to break the blade in half!
My design didnt work out as I had planned it worked ot better because I was able to use some of the techniques that I had learned whilst making my wooden box.

Amanda Guthrie 1P4~Metal hook project
When i was manking my hook i enjoyed the part were we used the machiene to drill the holls in the metal.
In the design folio i think i completed my ideas well as i carried on with my main idea.
In the practical work i think i could improve by filling it more to make it look equall on each side.
My design worked out as i planned and even better as i have now got a tiny wriggle in it,it looks cool thanks to a friend helping me!

Rebecca Watkins 1P4 Metal Hook Project.
During the proccess of making my design folio I feel that I could have annotated it a lot better than I have although I feel I drew my design ideas very well. I enjoyed using the brasing hearth whilst making my hook but I was hesitant toward using it at first. I feel I could of improved the filing on my hook. My hook came out as I had imagined it to be, but if I were to do it again I would experiment with the different types of files to get the best finish for my hook.

Dionne McFarlane 1P4 Metal Hook Project
When i was making my hook the part i enjoyed was drilling the holes.The thing i felt i could have done alot better was the part when we were filing next time i will do it better.My hook came out as i imagined it would but i changed the shape of it my hook looks cool and thanks to my 2 friends for helping me!
